I certainly do remember the school thing. I had my hide tanned a few times, but not from the principle, it was from the PE teacher, he didn't take any crap. I am sure they still cruise around town, my wifes neice just said last night she was going in town to hang out with some friends in "the lot" that was where I used to hang out after work. Atleast it's outside. We take our kids outside everyday it is nice out. We also refuse to turn "toons" on for them to watch when it is nice out. We get to play catch, or ride bikes or something (My kids are 4 1/2 going on 14, and 2 (umm terrible 2) LOL, but I wouldn't trade it). Atleast the TV and toons / movies are still a treat to them, they must ask before watching them. I got may hide tanned by my parents too, if I did something wrong. I expect my kids to respect their elders, and family. I don't agree with all of the Politically Correct mumbo jumbo of today. I also will make sure my kids know the value of a day's labor too, not a handout and expections of more. That's the way I learned, that's the way I want to teach them.
