No , Masons are incouraged to follow their own faith and to place his duty to his God above all other duties . Freemasonry teaches nothing that is contrary to their chosen religion . If a Mason feels that masonry does interferes with their faith , then he is more than welcomed to demit .

Free-masonry does not exercise religion. Free-masonry is NOT a religion. There is nothing that should interfere with anyones religious beliefs, The belief in a Supreme Being is the only stipulation for petitioning masonry. That supreme being can be any diety from any religion, however, since religion is not a factor in masonry, worldwide, mason's can meet together without fear of prejudice based on religion. Religious disputes are never suffered within the lodge, because freemasons worship as their consciences see fit. Masonry should not interfere with your hobbies either. You should not neglect your own advocations for the sake of freemasonry.
