Default dual / plural membership

does your state/country allow dual and/or plural membership in different lodges.

Pennsylvania allows for dual membership within different lodges, our lodge in particular has a few dual members. Normally they are only requested when someone moves out of the area, but still wishes to maintain the ties to their home lodge.

Virginia allows you to join as many lodges as you wish. My feeling is why join another lodge if you can't support it?

Colorado supports plural and dual membership within the U.S. I am not sure what happens if one has to move out of the country to a different Lodge though. A couple of my Brothers are from South America, so we might find out soon!

Personally, i would only join (i.e. pay dues) to other lodges if i had to move for a job or something. I would certainly maintain ties with my present Lodge since it is where i was raised. At this point, however, i am not sure where my career will take me.
