With out giving too much away what do you wear for the initiation.
We wear a suit but the initiates remove jacket and tie. Last edited by Ashlar521; 05-21-2008 at 06:58 AM. Reason: Removed details of ritual work . |

Sorry , but we will not go into details over Modes of recognition : signs, grips, words, tokens, etc;.
Details of the ritual :The forms, the ceremonies, the degree work , of the preparation and execution , or what is said during. Or any part of our obligations . This is an open forum . How a candidate is prepared might sound trivial to some , but I ask that we not go into any portion of that or any other parts of the degree work .

That's just the way it is . Though you may find all you need to know all over the internet and in books , you will not hear them from me . I made an obiligation not to reveal the secrets of masonry and I will not argue this point with anyone .

I would suggest, if you are new to the fraternity, and have received any of the degrees in freemasonry, that you speak with your mentor from your lodge. It would be inappropriate to discuss ritual work in an open forum. Masonic contact should only be made in person or with someone who has been properly vouched for. Even though by reading these forums, you can begin to identify those who are of the craft and knowledgeable in it, there is no way to vouch for someone. I can not honestly say that anyone else on this forum is a mason.
That being said, those who are familiar with the oaths and obligations, will not discuss the rituals on an internet forum.

Well said BG_TRBL . Abot , I gather by your posts that you are not a Mason . Are you looking into becoming a Mason or are you just curious about the Fraternity ?

I agree. Check with your local Masonic lodge, for the correct information. Should you decide that you wish to petition Freemasonry, they will assist you.
I can say, that there are all types of clothing worn in lodges by the members. I have been in lodges in rural Kentucky, where the masons wear bib overalls, and muddy boots. I have been in lodges in Paris, France, where the members wear tuxedos. In Texas, the master of the lodge wears a Stetson cowboy hat, and western boots.
