I've been doing a lot of thinking recently about starting a website to try and generate a little bit of passive income on the side. Most likely through the use of google adsence and affiliation with amazon to recommend books.
The only idea I can come up with that I think is worth while has me at a moral impasse. I'm thinking of doing a un-official masonic community site for my area. Every lodge, affiliated body, and district wing of Grand Lodge has there own website already; but with the exception of my lodges website (which I administer) they aren't very good. I guess what I'm asking is; if someone in your area set up a community site for the purpose of hopefully generating some personal income, how would you feel about it? Would you respect the person for trying to produce a resource for communication between local lodges and affiliated bodies? or would you app ore them for using Masonry for personal gain?
