Anyone play with anything like x10? What kind of setup do you have?

X10 is a protocol used in some home automation systems. From with I read its a rather outdated way of doing things. I was hoping someone here may be interested in it so I can pick their brains a bit. Was thinking of trying it out this year.

My wife has a home automation system for doing things, ME !!!

I've never gave home automtion much thought .
