LAKE OF THE OZARKS - After bringing hope and care to hundreds of lake children, the Lake of the Ozarks Shrine Club wanted to finally give out a big 'thank you.'

Last week the fraternal organization held its inaugural awards dinner and recognized two local businesses and two shriners for their unwavering support of the club.

David Kirchner, Rajah, or president, of the Lake of the Ozarks Shrine Club, said the club usually likes to remain quiet about its fund raising and community efforts, but he's trying to change that.

'The two families have supported us for so many years, a lot of this would not be possible without them. They both do it without a lot of publicity and thanks, but I want them to know how much we appreciate their support,' he said.
