Default Delta College students begin to repair walls at Masonic Temple

Matt Kretz of Saginaw calls the work being done at Bay City's Masonic Temple ''constructive demolition.''
Take down what's rotten and broken and put up plaster and paint to make it look new.
In two months, that is what Kretz and the nine other Delta College students hope to do at the 113-year-old building at Madison Avenue and Sixth Street. The students are part of instructor Terry Kelly's interior finish class. Kelly approached the Bay Arts Council, which has owned the temple since 2005, about using the building as a lab for his students.
