Lexington - To anyone who is not a Mason, the organization’s past may be a bit of a mystery. But it’s one closely linked with the earliest days of the United States, and whose membership has included luminaries from colonial times to the present. It’s a history that links the likes of Paul Revere to sports caster Curt Gowdy, among many others. A new exhibit at the National Heritage Museum in Lexington shares the Mason’s local roots, which dates back to July 30, 1733, when Henry Price, who held the title of Provincial Grand Master of North America, constituted the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts in Boston. Now, 275 years later, there are many images to share and stories to tell, and a legacy to pass on. http://www.wickedlocal.com/bolton/fun/x2015306345 |
