Does Your Lodge help out with local things

Our lodge helps the local Salvation Army during the red kettle drives at local merchants. It has become sort of a friendly rivalry between lodges in our district as to whom can collect the most for that worthy cause. The winner gets a "homemade bell trophy" for the lodge to keep for the year, only the winning lodge gets to keep the trophy from one year to the next. The collections are done by manning the red kettles and ringing the bell for donations.

Any other districts do anything like that??

We have fundraisers for our local vol. fire dept .

Our lodge does the Salvation Army kettle drive, Michigan MIchip and a scholarship.
