![]() | Rodney Brown, chairman of the board, oversees the Greenville Shriners Hospital from the board standpoint and although he is a Shriner not everyone on the hospitals staff is. He is the highest ranking of about 200 employees that work in the hospital, just a few less than last year due to the economic crisis. Over the past years, the hospital funds have gone down from $18 million to $16 million. They have not had to cut any services but have cut back on some staff positions. They say they never lose hope despite the threat of closing down the hospital. They struggled through the threat and the hospital is in great working condition today. There are 22 Shrine hospitals across the United States and it takes $800 million total to run all of them. To donate to the Shriners Hospital you can contact Brown, a local attorney in South Carolina. read more http://www.goupstate.com/article/200...s-change-lives
