Well we finally got it coming to our Lodge. The 5th Monday of November we will have it. Really excited, and hope we get a good turn out.

Good news . We were going to give that a try but it went on the back burner when we started giving out annual college scholarships . I may try and get it off the ground again next year when I am back in the East .

My Lodge has been very involved in the IL Chip Program and launched it in the Public School System here last year. It was alarming to me how hard it was to get in the Schools but when a Brother took over as Superintendent last year it got our foot in the door. This year "They" contacted us to bring our excellent program back. We spend three days getting through all the kids.

We've been using these for a bit now. They're pretty expensive, we've shared the costs with the other lodges in our district.

I'll have to check on the price but we get ours through the Grand Lodge of Illinois. Not sure if they are the same as the ones for your state or not. A short interview of the child is recorded on a CD Rom (to help identify them by their actions), along with a picture. We have a police to the new style computerized fingerprints and we have a DNA Swab. The kit is then sealed and sent home to their parents.
