That is great news. You will enjoy it I am sure. I wish I could be there for it. I always hear about how each state does things differently for the MM work and would love to see it.

Jason & Ashlar-

I appreciate the thought and I am sure if you lived a bit closer or wasnt setting in the East, you would be there... things happen. Its the thought that counts. I just wanted to put the info out because I have recieved some very good information on here over the past months since prior to my EA.... and feel like the Brothers on here have been an important part of my journey.

fireman99, enjoy the MM degree, it is a good degree to put on and just as enjoyable to receive. I congratulate you and wish you all the best in your travels as a Master Mason.

Congrats and enjoy the degree. I have no doubt that you will enjoy it, and that you will remember it in your journey.

Freemasonry may be traced by history and tradition, ...it is only necessary to refer to the information presented to you in a general manner. Information considered "secret" to mason's will NOT be divulged. Seek and ye shall find, Ask and it will be given you, Type and it will be posted (and most likely, answered).

"The Craft and It's Symbols" by Allen E. Roberts. It is not just a collection of drawings and explanations. It is much deeper and more interesting than I expected.

If you like a bit of philosophy, history, art, and symbolism together, try "Freemasonry: A Journey Through Ritual and Symbol" by W. Kirk MacNulty.

I have received many recommendations for 'A Pilgrim's Path." I just received it in the mail with the MacNulty book listed above, and decided to go with the MacNulty book first.

Amazon.com has many books on Masonry available. Be sure to do some homework on them before you purchase the books, just to make sure you are not getting unworthy reading material.
