Right now, I've been having some health problems and I guess I'm averaging at least 12 to 14 hours a day. I have a feeling that will change but I hope it's sooner rather than later.

I absolutely hate to sleep during the day. It really makes me feel peculiar. I usually go to sleep, after reading in bed, at around 12:30 and if I get up when I wake up at 7:30 in the morning I feel great but if I go back to sleep or don't wake until after 8 I feel tired, so it's true, I think, that you can get too much sleep.

If I take a nap during the day I am ruined for the rest of the day and all I want to do is go back to bed . I have also became accustomed to sleeping very little and if I get too much sleep I feel tired , groggy and grainy eyed all day so I also believe that one can get too much sleep also . Even eight hours a night is too much for me .

Though I have a habit of taking a nap, I have to admit that you guys are right. It's not generally advisable as it can ruin your biological clock, well, something like that.

I sleep 6-7 hours during weekends but if I have work the next day, I sleep around 4-5 hours at night. I have a hard time waking up in the morning especially when it's a working day for me so my alarm clock is always set on my bedside table to wake me up.

I usually get about 6 hours a night and am good with that. Even on my days off, I find myself waking up at about the same time. I think I heard that we should get about 8 hours or more even as adults. I don't see that happening.

I used to get 4-6 hours a night. The last few years, I've been going go bed earlier and getting up later...getting 7-9 hours a night.

It has never failed me to this date and I have never needed an alram clock , I don't even have one . Weird , I could never figure out how I got this way .
HAHAHA.... Jarhead. I have a feeling your DI had something to do with it.

My wife was 2nd LAAM 3rd Marine Div. She's the same way.

I am averaging 5 hours a night. For some reason, I can't go to sleep before 12 or 12:30 and I have to get up at 5. My kids have to be in school before 7:30 which means that I need time to make them a good breakfast, and get them up which takes a while. I usually need a little nap, but this week I have been so busy that I haven't been able to sleep during the day. I am dying for the weekend. I need to get up at least at 7:30 am.
