Default A Dumb Question

If a woman from the Eastern Star, and a Master Mason fall in love...would it be possible for their union to be solomnized in a Blue Lodge by the Worshipful Master?

I've heard rumors of Masonic Weddings. I really am not familiar with them. There may be some older posts I will try to dig up on the subject. But if he is licensed to do so in your state, I do not see why not.

If you are a member of a Lodge that is Regular, there is no way that you would be able to have such a wedding in "open Lodge". Eastern Star is quasi-Masonic but is not considered Regular or in amity with international Freemasonry.

I don't think he was asking if it could be done while the lodge was at labor but in the "Blue Lodge" building itself . If the Master was also ordained/Justice of the peace , then yes they could get married in the lodge building , if the lodge would allow such a thing . We rent out our dining hall for all sorts of things but the only people allowed upstairs in the lodge room itself are Masons and OES , unless we are having a meeting with a guest speaker/awards ceremony/officer installation that is open to friends and family members and we are at refreshment .

A Lodge in my area had a "renewal of vows" in their lodge between a PM and his wife (OES Sister) and it was presided over by a minister/Past Master . I know it is not a true wedding and a sitting Master , but close .
