Default Dyslexics master reading skills thanks to tutoring program

One of the most important things to know about dyslexia is that it affects each person differently.

Connor Hasson, 20, Sinking Spring, Andrea Klemka, 18, Ontelaunee Township, and Sean Hannon, 11, Birdsboro, can all eloquently speak to that.

They have been participants and beneficiaries of the tutoring program for dyslexics at 32nd Degree Masonic Learning Center for Children of Reading, Scottish Rite Cathedral, 310 S. Seventh Ave., West Reading.

"One size does not fit all when it comes to dyslexia," said Brenda Wise, director of the center, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

Dyslexia is categorized as a learning disability and involves brain difficulty in processing information.

For the dyslexic, reading and writing can be a challenge, with letters often mysteriously running together or appearing jumbled and inverted.
