Members of the Smithson family will gather at the Bethesda Senior Citizen's Center for their annual reunion at 9 a.m. Saturday. A covered-dish luncheon will be served at noon.
The Bethesda Masonic Lodge's annual barbecue will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 18. A live auction will begin at 6 p.m. with items that have been donated by local merchants as well as friends and family of lodge members. It is on Bethesda–Duplex Road. Call me for more info.
Our deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Pattie Lois Smith who passed away recently. Funeral services were at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with burial in the Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her husband, Riley "Bear" Smith; her stepchildren, Danny and Tommy Smith, and Peggy Fisher and their spouses; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
If you are a member of the Grigsby/Watson family then you will want to mark your calendar for Sunday for their annual family reunion at Burwood Community Center. We will have a covered-dish luncheon around 1 p.m. Be sure and pass the word. Some of us will arrive around 11 a.m., so come and visit.
