Signs of summer are everywhere. It's a welcome relief from the rainy spring, but it also can be a time for hospitals to see an increase in injuries to children, particularly those involving burns.
"Kids have more free time in summer," said Richard J. Kagan, M.D., chief of staff at the Cincinnati Shriners Hospitals for Children. "Some kids will start to experiment with gasoline around campfires - it is a deadly situation."
