On July 25, 50 years after receiving their charter, Hillcrest Chapter No. 40 — Order of the Eastern Star in Boiestown celebrated their anniversary with a special evening program and over 100 special guests and friends at Landmark Lodge overlooking the Miramichi River.
Worthy Matron Judith Ross had planned an impressive and informative program. Guests came from as far away as Ontario, Nova Scotia and all parts of New Brunswick in honour of the milestone. Samples of early hand-written documents were on display, as well as many photographs of the officers, members and special events from throughout the last 50 years.
