![]() | I guess a sort of re-introduction is in order. As I joined this forum in the early parts of 2009 I was extremely busy with work and Masonry. I had just gone through the York Rite, but was not really involved as I was Worshipful Master of my Lodge. I had an extremely successful year as almost every Friday we were doing a ceremony on at least 2 candidates. My Lodge also started the Child ID Program in Idaho and has led the Grand Lodge committee since then. My job was also to make sure everything was being prepared for 2010 as that was our Centennial Year. At Grand Lodge I had the honor of opening up one of the sessions of Grand Lodge and introduce the Grand Master. At the District Communication my Lodge presided over the Senior Grand Warden approached me about jumping into the Commandery line-up as we had an unexpected vacancy. I said I would and was soon installed as Senior Warden. I participated in the Fall Festival and did several parts. At the Election night for the York Rite bodies I was elected High Priest, Principle Conductor of the Work, and re-elected as Senior Warden. At the end of the meeting I was approached with an invite into the York Rite College (YRC). At my first meeting, the Grand High Priest requested help with the preparation of the Grand Assembly that was approaching. I said I could help a little bit, but I should have known better as the GHP appointed me as Chairman of Credentials and Registration. On the day prior to the Grand Assembly I received the Holy Order of the High Priesthood (being a EHP myself). On the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend I went through the Order of the Knight of York (YRC). For 2010, my time with the Blue Lodge was limited because of work with the Guard. We were getting ready to deploy to Iraq as a part of the Operation New Dawn. Besides the thought of being in Iraq again, I hated having to be deployed as I was offered a DDGM position in the ID Grand Lodge, but had to turn it down. Since September I've been deployed to Iraq. In the last two weeks I've been on vacation and took the free ticket to go to Italy. I have had an amazing time visiting Rome, Florence, Bologna, and Venice. Within the next day I will be back in Rome waiting for a flight back to the Middle East. By this fall I will be back in Idaho and with my family/friends. I will be going through the Scottish Rite as I missed my chance this last year due to military obligations. For the remainder of the year I will be attending as many events as I can and being with my family as I will be moving to the East Coast for a new job. |

I love Idaho (having been there my entire life) and hate to leave, but Idaho doesn't really have a large Intelligence Analyst field. I've had to turn down several Grand officer appointments because I'm leaving and it wouldn't be fair to get installed then leave. I do plan on jumping right back into Freemasonry wherever I do move to. I will return as often as I can to see my family, friends, and Brethren. | |

![]() | North Carolina is beautiful. Even if you get stuck in a bad part its typically not very far to get to some where beautiful... not on the same scale as Idaho, but its some of the nicest country you'll find on this coast. Va is not as high in my graces... |
