Default Masons want public educated about role

The Covington County Shrine Club will be hosting a “Masonic Day” in Andalusia on May 9 on the square in the old Prestwood building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will have clowns and balloons for the kids and refreshments for all. This is a family event, so everyone is invited.
The intent of this event is to raise public awareness of what the Masons and its Appendant Bodies do in the community and what we are all about. Everyone thinks of the Masons as a secretive group of men who meet and are up to something sinister. We want to show our real face and let everyone know we are here to help, whether it is with a dyslexic child with reading and interaction problems or a child with burn or orthopedic problems.
