AVOCA — The Lighthouse Community Pantry, located at the Avoca United Methodist Church recently announced it has received a $4,000 donation from the Avoca Masonic Lodge #673. Lodge Secretary William Snyder and Treasurer Glenn Davis presented the donation, which will assist the Avoca pantry with Christmas food baskets. This is the eighth consecutive year that the Avoca pantry has received donations from the Avoca Masonic Lodge #673, totaling about $19,000. The former Avoca Community Pantry and Lighthouse Food Pantry merged in 2005 to become the Lighthouse Community Pantry.
