This past Tuesday night was our last Lodge meeting for the Summer and we had our Awards night complete with catered meal and each Brother could bring a guest. We honored three of our members. One who has been a member of our Lodge for 50 years, one 60 years and one 70 years. The Brother for the 70 year honor has actually been a member 74 years this year and he said it has all been at our Lodge. I thought that was very incredible indeed. After the meal and presentation, our members adjourned to one of our Lodge rooms where we gave Grand Honors to these three men. It was a great night to honor some men who've given so much to our Fraternity.
That sounds like a wonderful evening. It's such an honor and privilege to be in the company of wise men.
Those are great men indeed to have given such time to Freemasonry. As of last night, I have reached only my 5th year and it seems so much has happened, so much learned, and so many met, that I can only imagine what length has brought these men.
