Waterloo Lodge #102 in Elkhorn, Nebraska is privileged to have Brother George Washington's Inagural Bible available for viewing on Saturday February 10 from 2-4 pm at the Lodge Hall. This is the Bible that Bro. Washington took his oath of office as the first President of the United States in 1792. The Brothers of St. John's Lodge of New York are bringing the Bible to Elkhorn.
This will be the day before the Installation of the Nebraska Grand Lodge Officers on Sunday, Feb 11 at 1:00 pm. As some of you know, I have the distinct honor of having been appointed as Grand Junior Steward for 2012, and will be so installed this Sunday. I did not realize the amount of functions the GL officers get invited to -- so far since Annual Communication (Feb 2-4) we have been invited to 9 Masonic functions -- soup suppers, fund raisers, degree work, Demolay Installation, cornerstone ceremonies (first cornerstone is Feb 26). I will make as many of these as I can - within the length of my cabletow.
