Robert Bures, son of Ed and Lori Bures, of Nevada, Mo., spent a day in June at the Cabela's store in St. Louis Mills. Lori Bures described the day as "wonderful."
This was Robert's first time acting as an ambassador for Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners serves children up to the age of 18 with free medical care. Their specialties are burn victims and prosthetics and much more.
Recently, Brian Pinkston, certified prosthetist, fitted Robert with a special prosthesis enabling him to shoot a bow and arrow. With nightly practice with his dad, Robert has placed in two out of three bow tournaments.
At Cabela's, Robert, along with seven other ambassadors, received the Royal treatment. They got to go behind the scenes and feed the bass and live goldfish. They watched the Freshwater Alligator Turtles recieve a rare treat of raw chicken.
The best part for Robert was his opportunity to shoot the indoor achery range. Upon warming up, he shot 3 for 3 bullseyes.

Some see disabilities.
Some see them as just a bump to get over!

I never could do much more than hit the target on the archery range at camp.
