Clean Knights of Templar Swords - 1870

I have two Masonic Knights of Templar Swords that were stored near the beach for many years. They have rust on the scabbard and blades, pitting, and some white chalky stuff. How can I clean them? Do I try it myself or does somebody out there clean swords?
