daughters of the woods men

I could tell you ...
Are you talking about "Daughters of the Woodmen"? As far as I can tell, that was a quasi-sorority, just as "Woodmen of the World", from which it sprung, was a quasi-fraternity. Woodmen of the World was a 'fraternal' benefit society that eventually became Woodmen's Insurance Company. Woodmen's still exists today (Welcome to Woodmen of the World -- with you through LIFE), but I think that its fraternal arm has really disappeared and it's really just an insurance company now.
