Some of you may have seen him on History Channel talking about how the Freemasons are after world domination. Well he was just on Jesse Ventura's new show Conspiracy Theory. He was talking about Bilderbergs.

Well, here he is on Penn & Teller's old show. The name of the would be marked out here, but it was what comes out of a bull. I listened to most of this, and did not hear any foul language, but there may be some there. He gets on about 40 seconds into it.

I thought it was interesting to see who people mark as credible and what they also believe in.

David Icke is beyond the pale . I don't know if he actually believes the things that comes out of his pie hole or he has found his niche by selling books to the insanely gulliable who are more than happy to throw their money at him so they can lap up his crazy conspiracy theories . The forum on his web site is truly sickening , disturbing and laughable all at the same time . The insane ramblings of it's members and the things they believe are scary to say the least . We had one of his followers on here early last year , I believe , that wanted a list of the names(public registration) of all Freemasons in the the UK and the world .

I do have a neighbor who may be a reptilian being from another planet , but then again she just may be an unfortunate looking woman , I don't know . I'll have to send off for my x-ray spectacles from the back of my Spiderman comic book and find out !

You mean people believe him? When I saw him on Penn & Teller I about fell out of my chair laughing. That whole reptilian thing just had me cracking up.

I have a _very close_ family member that truly believes in and what David Icke says, does and prints, point being, there are true believers and I don't consider this member of the family to be any less intelligent than average or so. There is something there between this member and my being a Freemason, I get a 'look' sometimes and sometimes a "pop question" to see if my guard is down. But again, there are true believers. I have also seen my share of Ickes' on air time, and wonder myself if he believes in what he does or is it just a good paycheck he's found?

Oh , yes they believe him . Not only about reptilians but so much more . His forum has a topic on just about everything and the conspiracies behind them . They have everything from the reptilians , Freemasons , and religion to UFOs and the real matrix .

Those that believe this stuff usually are intelligent , sometimes very , very intelligent . I have a close friend who is like this (but does not follow Icke) He will not use a phone until he can take it apart to make sure the government hasn't bugged it . He will not use computers because the government and/or aliens can track his movements . And vaccines such as flu shots are ways for them to put a microchip in you . He will also ask me questions about Freemasonry when he thinks he can catch me off guard or ask me for a loan because he thinks I have access to the Templars treasures (and he is serious) . This man is a certified genius , he tested off the charts . But because of all of these conspiracy theories he has in his head he can not be productive in society . He is also bi-polar and that has a lot to do with it . It's sometimes hard to believe that this is the same very normal person I grew up with . We have learned to ignore it .

I was thinkng about these conspiracy fanatics and their intelligence . If you read through Ickes forum you will see that they are well read and most very intellegent . The thing is they only read one side of the story . Once a conspiracy takes root , they want to learn more and more about that conspiracy , and that conspiracy leads to another then to another without taking into account the other side of the story or completely disregarding it all together . The more they read the more they believe . Take the anti-Freemasons , the more proof you give them about how wrong they are , you can smack in the face with the truth , they scream we are liars . I think they already have the disposition for it , and I am not saying they are mentally unstable mind you , just that they are ready to believe anything someone tells them whom they think is an expert , knowledgeable etc; etc; . That because they found it in a book , like Icke's books , then it just has to be true , and like I said above , the theory takes root and blossoms into full blown paranoia .

I don't know maybe I am way off base , but their has to be a reason why people believe this stuff .

I am totally on board with you regarding the folks that believe in Icke and the like. My family member is intelligent, not sure how so, and one can have very intelligent conversations about many things with him, but like you, I think or have concluded that there is a disposition to believe in such regardless of what is or can be said. I have told him that if he ever did become involved in freemasonry, (truly not likely) that he would be sorely disappointed in many ways- the ways in which he believes, and very impressed in others. The response I get is the stock "you just haven't gone far enough yet." Makes me grin. I do give him A for effort on the pop-quizes tho! He is diligent. :) He doesn't know yet that I am turning in my Petition for the York Rite this weekend... That wil make for a lively discussion.

I am sure there are intelligent people who believe him. I have a friend who is a math wiz. He works doing something with programing satellites, and his math skills makes me look like a kindergartner. He also thinks Freemasons are sinister, however. And as much as we tried to talk him out of doing it, he still managed to loose a bunch of money on the shell game on a street corner to a hustler.

With that being said, I still have a problem how some people believe that a creature of nature, can shape-change. If they would have said aliens look like reptiles, fine, I could accept that. I highly doubt that if there are aliens that they would look like us. But to manage to change bones, on such a large scale to turn a lizard into a human. That takes an active imagination in my opinion.

But as my friend would say, I've been wrong before - he can beat the street hustler, and I'm not high enough ranked to know the true secrets of the Freemasons.
