So we found out over the weekend that our unborn child is a male. It was great news for me and the wife, and can finally answer everyone who asks if it is a boy or girl.
Now remember, when he's ten he can join a Squire Chapter, if your local DeMolay has one. And if they don't maybe you can get one started. At twelve he can become a full-fledged DeMolay, and then join the Blue Lodge when he's old enough.
Congrats.. talk about a life changer! He will be fortunate to be in your life and you will have so much to teach him. Enjoy the journey as it will be fast and furious. By the way, even with a two male to one female advantage.... you know you will still fall short of your wife's power and influence; don't you? Lesson learned!

Thank you all. I get to raise my brother on the second Monday of November. Would be great to raise a son too though. Right now it is two females, one male. The wife and a 2.5 year old.
That is great news! Congratulations!! Boys are wonderful and full of energy I have 2 of them and completely understand the balancing out the power! The wife says she just has boys so she doesn't want to be too out numbered so we are happy with our 2!
Jason! Ya shudda planned better. We had our boy first, and the little girl in hand-me-down cowboy boots, overalls, and plaid shirts is SOOO cute. You just cannot get little boys, no matter how young, to wear the Peter Pan collars, the lacey jeans, or the dresses. When Erin, my darling daughter was about 4, I was getting her dressed for pre-K and suddenly realized she hadn't taken the cowboy shirt I was trying to hand her, after she had put on her hiking boots, her jeans, and her SpiderMan T-shirt. I looked up and she was standing defiantly with her fists on her hips, and said, "Wait a minute! When do I get some GIRL clothes?" She's been a teacher in the county for a half dozen years and is VERY girly! S&F
My wife and I have two young sons and two male dogs. I figure if we added 40 more male dogs we'd still not balance the power in the household.
