My wife made mention of another kid, I told her that is fine...go find a rich man to knock you up so we can collect child support....lol. I pay out 250 a week for my first 2 kids. I love them to death but they are more expense than my newest daughter

I've got two in the house (14 y/o & a 2 y/o) now. I just got a letter from the state saying they will no longer be taking out child support for my other two kids from a previous marriage. I was paying 1,200 a month, so I feel your pain!
In the end, it's all worth it.

Coach is right. It is a symptom that stems from US as Freemasons losing our place in society through our own fault. We need to reclaim that so the world sees us as the champions of Character that we are supposed to be.
As for dealing with your wife, educate her! So she sees that Freemasonry is a positive thing not only in your life, but that it will make you a better husband.

I thought everything was good with my wife....Till last night.
A Brother gave me a laptop and in the bag he forgot his checkbook so I went after work to return it to him. No big deal. I did stay for about 20 minutes talking to him then went and picked up dinner. 1 minute before pulling in the driveway I get a call. "Did you forget where the F*** you live?" .
"What?? I be there in a second"
"What is your issue?" I say.
"Your never home because of the Lodge"
"I was returning something of importance to someone"
"Well your never home because of it"
"when I was with the Fire Department I was gone alot more at all kinds of hours of the night, with no issue!"
Now I do go to Lodge once every other week(scheduled), In between I visited other lodges on off weeks. Took a paid off of work to go to a seminar at the Grand Lodge, and helped 2 candidates with there proficiency. None of which exceded 1 night per week.
I'll let you know how I make out.

My wife is a little weary about masonry. She trust me and knows that I would not be involved with anything that was against my religious beliefs. She does not like to be involved with going to some of the activities but still supports me in my decision. I do try to make sure that she knows that she is first in my life.
Part of the reason I joined was for more socializing. I tell my wife about picnics, dinners and stuff that she can go to and she rolls her eyes. She doesn't have a problem with me and the lodge, just time. But I should add that we do have a 2 year old daughter that may drive her nuts from time to time. So one night a week that I'm out is one night I don't help her.
I asked her about joining OES with a friend of mines significant other, she says she doesn't have time. If I have time she should have time. I do know how to take care of my daughter on my own, I taught my wife.....lol
