Keep in mind that I am NOT starting a gambling pool or pot. I take chances with life, not with money. I just want to know who my fellow NFL following brethren think will take home the Lombardi. Personally I think the Packers will get it. Aaron Rodgers has been playing out of his mind this season, so the Steelers defense will have their hands full. Now, one of my friends says the Steelers will win because they play in a very recon style. They watch and let their opponent get some points on the board, while they sit back and figure out the weaknesses in their technique; basically testing them, both offensively and defensively, to see how best to beat them, and then immediately go in for the kill.
Steelers 31 - PAckers 17 There is no more a fitting place for the Steelers to win their 7th Super Bowl than that of Cowboys stadium!
super bowl joke did you hear why the packers are favored to win the super bowl? because they heard the steelers were going to be the home team on the score board and the home team never wins in dallas. hahaha- heard that joke today! sorry cowboys fans! honestly, i'm not a packer fan, but i'd like to see them win.
All I know is that my ticket says that the ending numbers for the quarters have to be (AFC=4, NFC=0) makes no difference to me who wins, as long as those numbers hit, I'm a winner this season. I'm from PA, but I've got to admit, I'm not supporting the steelers. I know too many fans that make a little too big a deal with them.
I think the Steelers will win......Big Ben and Co are tough...GB is good but I think Bens experience in the Super Bowl will carry him.....31-21 Steelers....
As a Vikings fan it has to be the Steelers. If the Steelers defence can put Rogers on the ground early, they win. Go big Ben. Good luck all!!
Well, as a Vikings fan, I'll try to keep my loyalties in the NFC north and attempt to cheer for the Packers. Still, I'm having trouble completing my "Application to Become a Green Bay Packer Fan". I know we have several Wisconsinite brothers out there. I'll defer to their expertese in helping complete this application. Oh ,no. Hadn't got that far. Was still working on the 7 course dinner. Do they still make Old Style? I know it hasn't been in LaCrosse for years.....
I attended a meeting where the RWGM of Pa was suppose to be giving a Past RWGM his 50 year pin. He wouldn't come into the meeting to the Steelers-Ravens game was completely over. We had to sit there for like 10 minutes doing nothing. I jokingly around said he was probably waiting for the game to end and th WM announced I was correct!
Its going to be a great game (my Son the Cheesehead and I have talked about THIS match-up for 10 years).I am a Steeler's fan from the 70's thru today. Even the odds guys in Vegas took the safe route at 2.5 point spread and a 45 point over/under (They figure the final score is Packers 24 to Steeler's 21) That's the closest Superbowl in a LONG time. NOW, the Packer's day will go very bad if James Harrison gets to Rodgers and plants him...which is going to happen. Rodgers is quick to get out of the pocket, but if Harrison and Farrior Pin him in th epocket, he will be bouncing off the pavement...and those two are relentless Steeler's are #1 against the run. Bad news for Jackson and Starks. The Pack will try to keep the Steeler's honest and run the ball on first down or 3rd and 1, but in the end, Rodgers arm will have to carry the day...and the Steeler's know that. The Steeler's Wallace averages 22 yards per reception (The Packer's corners are not fast enough to run with him all day) AND the packer's MLB Mathews will need extra help to contain , then BRING down Big Ben due to his size. Like I said...its going to be a great game. but in the end its Steeler's 27, Packers 20.
To my Wisconsin Brothers: I formally apologize if this offended anyone. It was emailed to me. I got a quick chuckle and thought I'd share. It does not mimick my feelings for Wisconsinite's, of whom I have the utmost respect, and I always enjoy my frequent visits to the Great State of Wisconsin. I will be cheering on the Packers in Super Bowl XLV!
No offense taken, when the company nurse shows up, tell that we need a UNIX programmer, not a ENNUCH programmer. Or as Moses has been purported to say, 'you want us to cut the end of WHAT off?'.
What? Where? Sorry, Bros. I don't follow sports. I've never seen a thread on the 'net in which I understood so little.
I am with you, no real interest in sports. I watched some lame (by comparison) commericals the other day, they broke them up with some football game....
