Masonic Homes in profit

RETIREMENT living provider Masonic Homes is starting to book the benefits of its expansion plan, with a slow recovery of its 2006-07 profit.
The Adelaide-based entity posted a 9.6 per cent lift in 2006-07 net profit before tax to $8.3 million on the strength of a 24 per cent revenue boost to $37.8 million.
The turnaround partly offsets last year's $5 million drop in net profit to $7.7 million, chief executive Doug Strain said.
