CRYSTAL FALLS—You can’t build a snowman without snow.
After a much anticipated wait for snow, a familiar sight has returned to Iron County residents traveling U.S. 2 in Crystal Falls –the “snowman” at the Crystal Falls-Iron River Masonic Lodge.
Each year, Lodge No. 385 conducts a meltdown contest, with a portion of the funds raised donated to local charities or projects benefitting Iron County residents.

Been waitin for snow here in New England, we were hit hard in October with 800,000 plus power outages. But no snow since. Its 60 degrees out today, And its the first day of February. So no snowmen or meltdown here yet.

Was in the 80's I think yesterday. Should be low 80's high 70's for the next 5 days if the weatherman is right. I even started seeds here for my spring garden. This weather really has me itching for my kayak, an all day hike or camping. Sadly next week I'm doing the single dad thing while the wife is away.

A man in a "Frosty the Snowman" costume was arrested Saturday after an apparent meltdown at Chestertown's annual Christmas parade.

CBS Baltimore reports the man dressed as "Frosty" is accused of scuffling with police and kicking at a dog.

The Star Democrat of Easton reports Sgt. John A Dolgos said Kevin Michael Walsh, 52, was "agitated" when a dog-handling officer tried to escort him away from the crowd. Walsh allegedly took off the head portion of the "Frosty" costume and hit the officer in the face with it.

The craft of stonemasonry (or stonecraft) has existed since the dawn of civilization - creating buildings, structures, and sculpture using stone from the earth. These materials have been used to construct many of the long-lasting, ancient monuments, artifacts, cathedrals, and cities in a wide variety of cultures. Famous works of stonemasonry include the Taj Mahal, Cusco's Incan Wall, Easter Island's statues, the Egyptian Pyramids, Angkor Wat, Borobudur, Tihuanaco, Tenochtitlan, Persepolis, the Parthenon, Stonehenge, and Chartres Cathedral.

Hank check out both the following links and tell me that this is not cut and paste spam from vogelmeghan398. He has posted 2 post and both are unrelated cut and paste replies to the thread and in a thread that is over 3 months since the last post. That is spam. Notice the second link is word for word a cut and paste from wikipedia on stonemasonry. This is a common tactic from spammers on forums. I have no idea why they do this but it is stupid and they should be removed. I have moderated forums going back to the days of BBS systems and have NO respect for idiots like that.
