Masons sponsoring child ID program at fire station

EDWARDSBURG - On Saturday, Nov. 10, St. Peters Lodge No. 106, Free and Accepted Masons (F. & A.M.) will be sponsoring a free Michigan Child Identification Program (MICHIP), in conjunction with the Edwardsburg Fire Department, Vandalia Lodge No. 290 F. & A.M., the Michigan Grand Lodge of Freemasons, the Ontawa Township Police Department and the Edwardsburg Ambulance Service.​


The event is to be held at the Edwardsburg Fire Department located just north of the M-62 and May Street intersection between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The MICHIP Program is sponsored by the Michigan Masons and uses a defined "Masonic Model" called Comprehensive Masonic Chip. It is currently in operation by Masonic jurisdictions in 13 states. It is recognized by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as one of the most complete child recovery and identification programs in the nation.
