Had a gentlemen come into the shop a couple days ago, he had what looked like a Mason ring, but I couldnt tell. So to be safe and avoid ackwardness I didnt say anything. I told my wife that night. I was upset cuz I havent met a Mason outside of the Lodge yet. Well yesterday she had a customer come into her work. A Mason. She has known him for years. She called my to come down and meet him. very nice guy. We were talking about rings, and about the guy that stopped in and I wasnt sure. He asked if I had a ring. Nope, I looked at jewlers but they wanted 2000, way out of my budget, butg I have been scoping them on the internet. Well today my wife calls me on my lunch break and told me to stop at her work on way back.(we work 1 block away from each other). I stopped in and she told me to pick. This gentlemen who I only met yesterday stopped into her work today and dropped of 3 mason ring and told me to pick one. I was excited. I got my first Mason ring.
Sweet! I believe that when a new ring is purchases it is OUR Masonic tradition to share the BLING OF YOUR RING lol J/K I hope you enjoy but now you tread the tiresome path of "Which way do I wear my ring"
I always found the correct way to wear a ring was on one's finger , unless he bought a Masonic toe ring . In which case he could wear it any way he wanted , because if he is wearing a toe ring then we have bigger problems .
Toe ring: No kidding! But only because to see it he would have to wear sandals to LODGE! The dress code issues are endless. Then there is the issue of Masonic ear rings, there just aren't any decent ones on the 'Net.
Groovy. Now I can send those secret decoded messages to you. Did he explain how the decoder works on that ring? That is great though. I offered my first ring to my brother as it does not fit me anymore. But he found a different one instead.
mental picture forms............ (insert a typical Wisconsin beer drinker belly) (add an overly hairy navel) (add sweat rivulets) (add nylon baggy shorts that fit when they were in high school) (zoom in on a petite dangling S&C) Oh my mental eyes!!!!!!!
We talked about the ways to wear the ring, He has always worn it with the S&C pointed at him to remind him of his obligations, He has been a Mason for many years. made the ranks all the way up to GM. He's a joiner too, so he was YR,SR,Shriner, and he listed like 6 or 7 more he was a member of. His car was plastered with badges and emblem. Almost couldn't see his license plate.....lol But I will be reading the ring blog again for opinions and thoughts
Valid point! I want to go to Aspr8's town and grip every Mason with a blacklight lol. I have a horrible habit of staring at a ring if it even looks remotely Masonic! It has come in handy but if it's not a Mason I get "" Look!
