So what kind of music does everyone listen too? I'm pretty open to music, but mostly listen to rock. About the only thing I do not listen to is Opera.
my husband and i write music and he performs...mostly blues and lite southern rock. i love listening to old blues...sonny boy williamson, big walter horton...some a little newer - otis redding, etta james, sam cook. and i love old rock and roll!
my music tastes vary greatly, mostly Alternative/Indie Rock, Hard Rock. However I do enjoy, country, pop, dance as well. I really don't care for classical, opera, or big band jazz type. Rap in small doses. PM #232
I'll listen to pretty much anything but whining country of the hillbilly gospel stuff that makes the dog howl. Oh and Rap. I hate rap.
You might change your mind after listening to this: East Village Opera Company change the video to "La Donna Mobile" I saw them live and was just blown away.
I love 70's-80's country music and old timey folk music... but also 90's grundge rock, 70's Southern rock & hippy music and even some 80's pop music.
I listened to a wide range of different things. I play trumpet and guitar - trumpet since fifth grad, and guitar... well I pretend. I like alt rock, punk, folk, rockabilly, 90's rock, jazz, electronica, classical, etc. Some of my favorites are audioslave, counting crows, miles davis, the beatles, mumford and sons, iron and wine, smashing pumpkins, and lately I'm on a big frank zappa kick.
My tastes are eclectic . I like heavy metal , old (real)country music , southern rock , late to early 70's rock , Celtic (love Celtic Woman group) and heads above all is Jimmy Buffett , most likely one of his CDs are in my CD player .
I like everything - seriously everything. Granted there might be specific songs/performers that I don't like but I listen to anything. I am a music teacher by trade so I think that it's necessary to at least be knowledgeable about everything so I can talk to my students about every type of music. My favorites are: jazz - specifically John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, Big Band, Dave Brubeck, Oscar Peterson, Bird, Michael Brecker Aaron Copland Any popular music from the 60's and 70's Some hip-hop as long as there isn't much cursing.
If you want me to get rid of me all you have to do is play hip-hop/rap music . Makes absolutely no sense to me .
pnr, I'm a big Brubeck fan too. We used to play Take Five and Blue Rondo A La Turk in high school band, and Blue Rondo is a wicked fun song to play.
I listen to a variety of music, Country and classic rock mostly. I just bought the Ironman2 soundtrack, all AC-DC
