My wife has Desperate Housewives , I now have a show for me . The Walking Dead ! Did anyone else watch that Sunday night ? Now that is my kind of show . I waited all Oct. for it to kick off and I was not disappointed .
I recorded it but haven't watched it. I have read about the first 30 or so of the comics. They were really, really good.
I have never read the comics , but the show was excellent . I think you will like it , but then again , I am a horror fanatic .
I tend to shy away from horror. I hated everything "Saw" and "Hostel." I do like some zombie stuff. I loved "Shaun of the Dead" and "Zombieland". I read "World War Z" which was FANTASTIC. If you have not read it, go get it today. You will love it. I read a lot of comic and the "Walking Dead" stuff was some of the better stuff out in the last few years. I am very interested to see how they handle some of the more "interesting" story lines on TV.
This is a graphic novel correct ? I may have to look into them . I do not like Saw either , they beat that into the ground . I like things such as the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre , Halloween , Dawn of the Dead and the like . George Romero is one of my favorites .
I've been watching it since the beginning and have enjoyed it. It's kind of a blend of "Dawn of the Dead" and the BBC show "Survivors". Officer Friendly is a great character.
I missed Sundays episode, and was hoping they would replay it, but have yet catch the re-run. Might have to see if they have it on their website.
They start as single issue comics but at this point there are graphic novels for the first forty or fifty issues. I highly recommend them, and I am a giant geek.
Does the show stick to the story line of the graphic novel ? I realize some look at it as just a horror show , but it does go deeper than just mindless zombies and killings .
