I just wanted to introduce my self. My name is Robert Neuman. My interest in becoming a Mason is something I have wanted to do since I was a child. I was born with cerebral palsy and spent my youth in the Care of Shriners hospital in Philadelphia for 20 years. The gift of my care in an effort to allow me to walk is something I could never repay but at 44 I wish to start my Journey. My grandfather was a Mason in Fairless Hills Pa Lodge I think it was #716, My stepfather is also a past Master. I just wanted to say hello.

Welcome and good luck in your journey, my friend. I don't know if you still have a disability that would affect your experiencing the degrees, but there is a Lodge in Indiana (F&AM) that specializes in performing the degrees with accommodation for the disabled, I think the name is Bartimaeus Lodge. [Brother Fireman99, help me!]. Pennsylvania may have a similar function. "The internal, and not the external qualifications of a man, are what Masonry regards." - North Carolina Lodge Manual, by Charles F. Bahnson, P. M. p51
My advice to you would be to relax, enjoy the degree, and as the good lord has given us 2 ears and 1 mouth, use them accordingly. I mean no disrespect to you or that you would do otherwise. It is something that I was told long ago by one of my brethren, and it has served me well. There is a lot of things that can be learned just by listening to those who are speaking. The travels you will undertake, you will only pass once. Good luck in your travels, and please keep us advised of your progress, we like to hear what the new candidates think and feel of the degrees.
