I have found that doing the memory work is helping my short-term memory issues..

Masons, young brother, do not have memory issues. We're just easily distracted.

My granddad was SR and my dad was YR. When my granddad got into his later years my dad went SR so they would have a chance to do something Masonic together before my granddad passed on. I thought it was pretty cool.

I was looking into both. But, with work, 2 kids, becoming JW AND helping to start Arizona's first Law Enforcement/Firefighter Degree team, I won't have enough time to devote to SR or YR. Until then, I will continue with Blue Lodge. Maybe when I retire. HMMM....
