For the past several decades, the Al Menah Shriners have held an annual paper sale to raise money to assist children with orthopaedic conditions, burns, cleft lip and palate, and spinal cord injuries by providing life changing medical treatment in a family oriented environment at no cost to the patient's family. If a child in the local area suffered severe burns, the child generally would be sent to the Shriners Burn Institute in Cincinatti for treatment. Local children suffering from orthopaedic conditions would be sent to the Shrine Hospital in Lexington, KY for treatment. Of the money raised by the Shriners, 100 percent is used to treat children in need. The Clarksville Shrine Club is dedicated to raising as much money as possible, and will begin its annual paper sale starting this Friday. Sheriff Norman Lewis was the first to make a donation to launch the local sale. more Sheriff Lewis Makes Donation for Local Shriner's Annual Paper Sale | The Leaf Chronicle – Clarksville, Tenn., and Fort Campbell | theleafchronicle.com
