You are having a conversation with a fellow MM. You are speaking your mind on a subject and he is actively part of the conversation (not in Lodge). At what point should he consider what you are saying to be kept between the two of you ONLY and therefore Inviolate? 1) Always, no matter what, beginning to end of conversation. A qualifier does not need to be spoken. 2) you lead with " Between you and me" 4) You close with "I would rather you keep this conversation private" 3) You lead with "I am invoking our masonic obligation...." just wondering.....
I believe that there has to be an invocation of the secrecy requirement, otherwise everything would fall under that obligation and for what would mostly be things that don't need to be kept secret.
A little common sense should be applied. If you re talking with a Brother about a sensitive subject, you know not to reveal what you were discussing. If you are talking with him about a good tv show, probably not. Although, it's probably understood as well to keep it secret when a Brother reveals that they love Lady Gaga!
HEY! She is the new Madonna and her voice is not terrible, her lyrics are thought provoking, oh and she has a nice body (just between us Brothers )
