We are having a special speaker tonight in my lodge for our stated meeting . We have invited our wives , girlfriends , family and friends . We normally have around 50 members and family show up for this but I think I may have gotten the word out to well as my phone has rang off the hook with brothers from all over saying they are coming . We purchased enough food to feed 60 and I do not think that will be enough to feed all who are supposed to attend . I have been stressed all day over this . The food has been ordered and delivered . All we have to do is fire up the grills and start cooking . The way it is looking , we may well have over 60 or 70 members attending . It may standing room only . Between our annual Golf Scramble the other day and this , I have been a nervous wreck !
It's over and now we can get back to our regular programming . We had a snafu with the food delivery , but it all worked itself out in the wash . Had a huge crowd and everyone seemed to enjoy the talk . Even my wife , who has the attention span of a gnat enjoyed the the talk and we are going to make this an annual event now .
That is great. I'm glad everything worked out well. May I inquire as to the subject that brought so many in?
We had a speaker that gave a talk on Freemason at Gettysburg . He gives many other talks about Freemasons through history .
