Step 1 down. I stood proficiency in the 1st last night with one other brother. Everything went well, we were successfully voted upon, and will be passed to FC in mid January.

As for the FC catechism: longer? Shorter? More difficult?

Congrats! The FC is longer, and the MM is longer than the FC. More difficult? not really. It gets easier.

Congratulations. A great step. I think most people find they get easier, but longer. Like Br. Gary mentioned.

It's really easier. You've learned most of the format and the archaic language.

Congratulations, and I agree with the other posts, it is longer but now that you know the format it is a little easier.

Thank you all very much. I'm really looking forward to being passed in January. Initiation was obviously quite overwhelming, so I'm hoping I can relax and really take in more of the information this time around.

The language, as you know, is an older style that is an issue for some.
All 3 are similar in format and there are some commonality in structure.

My Raising was awesome, thought provoking, and way too much went on for me to keep it all in my head, so I am very happy that I have had the opportunity to observe several other Raisings and gather more and more about it each time.

Congratulations! I found the catechisms for FC and MM to be easier than the EA one.

Congrats my Brother! as for the cats, they will come quicker. You already know what to expect to some degree. There are differences but many similarities as well. You have already been through one degree so you know a little of what to expect. Relax as best you can and enjoy the night.
