You never will know how rewarding it is until you take an EA through the next two Degrees, AND then present him with him white leather apron. To really learn the catechisms, you should teach them. I teach my students the questions as well as the answers. Man-O-Man, what a satisfying feeling!
My mentor is also the WM.....he was JD when I got initiated as EA.He brought me all the way thru and I did both Q and A also.He was so very nervous during my FC and MM,as mine was the only one he had ever done.....and unfortunatly due to our small lodge,will probably be the only one he ever raised.So we have a definate special bond.
