I never thought any of those gadgets worked. But I'm far from being athletic anymore...lol. I find walking down stair as laborious as climbing them. Sad thing is I' not even 40 years old yet.
My prediction is that they will be found, after a little testing to be as valid therapeutically as those rocker-bottom athletic shoes. The shoe manufacturer has been ordered by the FDA to stop making any health claims for them. S&F
They are good for temporary pain relief from muscle spasms. Most of the magnet stuff has been around for ages. Kind of like the old school copper bracelets were used for in various ailments. I wouldn't break the bank to buy any of that stuff. It's mostly snake oil.
If wearing the bracelet gives temporary relief... just might be worth more than its intrinsic value...
You have to ask yourself; Is it psychosomatic? or is it actually physically treating a symptom? I will say that there have been studies that show lactic acid can be moved from muscle by use of a magnets ability to stimulate the cells of muscle tissue. essentially it prohibits the muscle from storing lactic acid for any long period so knots or spasms are relieved.
If either are true then wouldnt it be a win-win as long as one gained some relief without the use of narcotics? As for the second part.... sounds like a theory to me... Albeit a very good and believe able......
I see this as placebo effect, some if not all the effects are based upon the individual's belief that 'it' will help. If I convince you that a piece of Rose Quartz will help you redirect your anger and you believe it will, it will. I might add that you have to purify it in full moonlight monthly for best effect.
