Well , I will be voted on tonight for dual membership . Wish me luck , but knowing my luck , someone will not like me and throw a black CUBE (that was for you Winter) . I have been waiting to be investigated all month , but have not heard from the investigating committee , so I guess they feel they know me well enough to forgo the investigation . I really love this lodge and hope it comes up clear , but if it does not , I will not let it get me down .
It's done , clear ballot . Though They did give me down the road when I walked back in after the ballot . Told me they ran out of blackballs .
I don't know where half my dues cards are anyway lol . I get them in the mail and toss them here and there . I do know my Commandery dues card is being used as a book mark .
Thanks Jason , They need to whip me into shape first lol . I sat in as their SW that night and was off my game all evening , I could not remember my part at the opening of lodge (my mind just went blank) , gave the wrong sign in a lower degree ( and I am a stickler over this but I guess there has to a first time for everything ) and generally screwed the pooch . I had my mind on other things that night and nerves over the ballot . One brother blamed it on all the food I had eaten during dinner .
At least it was for a lower degree, a few PMs tend to go higher. We have a few entered afellowcrafts because of this.
No , it was not for a lower degree , it was the sign of a MM while open on a FC degree ( was at refreshment on the MM degree) . I did it without thinking , I was all over the place that night . But then again , I have lost count how many times I have seen brothers stand to address the Worthy Matron during a Chapter meeting and give her the sign of a MM .
