"Lisa's Wedding" is the 19th episode of The Simpsons' sixth season, which originally aired March 19, 1995. The plot focuses around Lisa visiting a carnival fortune teller and learning about her future love. The story then shifts to an Eastern University in the year 2010 where a now 23 year old Lisa becomes annoyed by a British student named Hugh Parkfield. At first, the two quarrel over a book in the library, but the pair eventually fall madly in love. The two discover they have a lot in common and Hugh invites Lisa to come back to his home in England so she can meet his parents. Hugh asks Lisa to marry him and she immediately accepts. The wedding is scheduled for August 1. Lisa's Wedding - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia --------------- I hope the wedding was good.
I REMEMBER this episode when it originally aired. Good golly I feel old. But then I felt old before I just didn't have proof. Thanks for the proof Jason!
I saw this too and it does make me feel old because I haven't watched an episode of the Simpsons in quite a while. I just get so fed up with all the repeats and there wasn't one that I hadn't seen several times so I just started watching another channel. I feel quite nostalgic now and will probably tune in again!
Oh my- I didn't even know Lisa grew up on Simpson's. I watched it in the early years and then got bored with it. I do feel old too- a lot of my co-workers are 10 years younger than me.
Hehe I suppose that means that they are on their honey moon now. Or would be! That does make me feel old. They should come back with the Simpsons, something new. I think its time.
I love The Simpsons and while I don't watch regularly anymore, I remember sitting with all my college pals waiting to see what Bart would be wiritng on the blackboard. Now I'll catch my kids watching it and laughing at the same stuff we did.
Thanks Jason. Yes, I feel really old now. I can not believe she is/has gotten married on the show now. Crazy that it seems like just yesterday I was sitting at home watching the first season! My how time flies!
