Shoot black powder. My current love is my chunk gun (or over-the-log gun) which is almost as tall as me. I have to stand on a stool to see the bore to properly load. We shoot prone, patched round ball, iron sights (no glass), forestock is supported by a log or chunk (mine is adjustable, with spirit level, and S&C emblem), rear must be completely supported by your off hand without a glove, 60 yards, personal spotter target. On the 26th of March (2011) we'll have the 19th Annual Alvin C. York Memorial Chunk Gun Shoot, on his farm (see the movie "Sgt. York") in Pall Mall, TN. We expect ~200 shooters in 2 relays, and at least as many hangers-on, and camp followers. Lunch tent onsite to benefit Pall Mall VFD. S&F

When it gets nice enough, I get my 1947 John Deere Model G out & stir up some dirt. I also have a custom ornamental steelwork business that I work at.
Full contact checkers..... so far, I am the defending champion at three nursing homes.... Seriously......I like to golf, spend time with my family and collect fire helmets....
well, i'm a professional musician, but my biggest hobby is music (naturally). I also like to brew beer, knit chainmaille or read. I'll go geocaching every once and a while, but it's been a few months.
I am always messing around with my aquariums ( water tests , water changes , pruning plants etc; etc; ) , my dogs keep me busy , I have my indoor house plants (african violets mostly) , read and study ritual .
I'm a kite flyer. Really I've been invited by the Smithsonian to fly kites inside the National Air and Space Museum on March 19th (that's a week from tomorrow). And yes, I did say inside. It's my only chance to be graceful. You have to see it to believe it There will be 13 of the best indoor flyers in the country there plus me. I also ride kite buggies. They are three wheeled carts that you steer with your feet while being pulled along by a big, controllable kite. There's nothing like it. Recently, I started playing disc golf. I'm building a small trebuchet in my basement out of PVC pipe. My wife and I have a small travel trailer and we love camping and seeing new places.
