Other than the length of one side...What is the difference between the Oblong Square and the Perfect Square? Operatively and Speculatively?

Here's a more simple answer (about the operative part): Other than the length of the sides, there is no difference between the oblong and perfect square. It's just an old-fashionedy way of referring to a rectangle.

Yes, I'd say that an oblong square = a rectangle. The angle is still 45 degrees, a right angle, but in the oblong square one side is longer than the other. I'll have to think more about the speculative significance of the difference between the two.

The Oblong Square and the Perfect Square relate to both Working Tools AND geometric constructs having four side and 4 angles that are 90 degrees each. The only differences between the Oblong and perfect Squares in both cases are those of dimension relating to lengths.
