Have you ever sat down and define positive and negative emotions? Do you think that some emotions can be camouflaged as a negative or positive and actually be the other?

Yes. I've concluded there are no such things.

All emotions are neither positive or negative. How we percieve them, how we experience them, and what we do with them determines our judgment of them. It's most unfortunate too since they are all gifts from God that most people have no clue with which they are to do.

That was something I was thinking about. So called negative emotions shows there is something one does not know or cannot deal with. It can then become a motivation to then learn it and deal with it. They are useful for motivation for moving away from what you do not want.

The same emotion, at the same time, can have the opposite effect on two different people. Response to our environment is a learned behavior, emotions are the indicator of a response.

Every Emotion is a specific message to ourselves as to how we perceive our reality. When we identify an emotion, we clearly understand the message that this Emotion is making effort to tell us. If we don't clearly identify the Emotion, we remain deaf to its message.

Every Emotion you experience has something important to tell you, whether you want to hear it or not. Most of the time, people try to ignore the Emotion and label it "negative" because they simply cannot accept the message that it communicates. This gets them into more trouble than merely dealing with the message straight on.

It saddens me to no end that Freemasons do no have this information as a required part of their training, especially since we are "SUPPOSED" to Circumscribe and Subdue Emotions (you know, "Passions & Desires!") before moving on to higher Degree Work.

But... what do I know... I'm still a newbie!

I'm saddened to say that I shall not be attending this year. I am booked that weekend for a BBB Workshop during a Coaches and Mentors weekend sponsored by the MN GL up in MN. I'd be honored though to make a signed copy get to you via snail-mail.
